Background
The Government is interested in new multidisciplinary hospitals where consolidation of certain services into a single facility can be achieved. There is also a need for modern equipment, supply and maintenance, provision of diagnostics (labs and imaging) services, facilities management, and quality clinical services.
Key Activities
The proposed AP3F TA will examine the feasibility, procurement, and delivery of multi-disciplinary hospital projects under PPP modality in Andijan region (Project-A) and Bukhara region (Project-B). Specifically, AP3F will provide: (i) project definition and conceptualization support for detailed scoping of both Projects; (ii) project definition, structuring, tendering, and monitoring support which entails demand-supply analysis, initial studies on the Projects, marketing, tendering, award, and financial close of the Projects; and (iii) capacity building support for MOH and other government agencies.
Expected Outcomes
Continuation of the ADB Uzbekistan PPP program with AP3F support resulting in the development of one of the first multidisciplinary hospital PPP projects in Uzbekistan.
