The beneficiary will be the Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC)
Background
The Project will be designed, built, financed, operated and maintained by an Independent Power Producer (IPP), which will be the first-ever power sector PPP in the country. Palau Public Utilities Corporation (PPUC), the national power and water utility, will be the concessionaire under the 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
The Project is deemed crucial to achieving the Intended Nationally Determined Contribution as committed by the country, which targets to generate 45% of the nation’s total annual power generation through renewable energy sources by the end of 2025.

Full-fledged transaction advisory including monitoring support
Expected Outcomes
By end of 2020, Commercial close for Phase-1 is achieved.
Phase-2 to continue towards target completion in 2025.
