• Public-Private Partnership Center (PPPC)
The Ministry of Digital Development (MDD) and the PPP Center (PPPC) of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has signed a Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) mandate with ADB’s Office of Markets Development and Public-Private Partnership (OMDP) in relation to the development of a green data center to be implemented under a PPP modality.
Given the commitment to digital transformation and the need for additional energy sources, the PPPC and MDD have approached ADB to support the development of a data center powered by renewable energy (the Project). The Project will assist in diversifying the data center resources available to the country and will provide infrastructure to support digital development in both the private and public sectors of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Project will comprise a green data center powered by renewable energy sourced from the grid with a capacity of 300-500 racks. The potential site is yet to be finalized and would be located within Bishkek vicinity, providing optimal access to fiber optic networks, roads, utilities, and a skilled workforce.
The Project’s capital cost is estimated in the range of $12-15 million.
The proposed AP3F TA consists of project definition, project preparation and project monitoring of the Project until financial close.
Launch a tender for the first PPP project in the country’s digital sector to be prepared and procured through a solicited and competitive process.
